From the 15th to the 17th of October, Balmoral Engineering attended Wingspan 2024 in Brussels. What was unique about this event was the focused subject matter of wildlife conservation but in particular with reference to avian interactions with power lines and energy infrastructure.
It was a great opportunity to hear from the scientific community across Europe and beyond as well as perspectives from grid operators and other stakeholders.
Balmoral Engineering was among one of a handful of suppliers showcasing a range of bird diverters, which according to the scientific community are a key mitigation measure to reduce bird mortality caused by collisions with power lines.
